Located in the heart of historic Columbia, Rising Sun Nutrition (50 Lancaster Ave) proudly calls the iconic Rising Sun Hotel home. Constructed between 1894 and 1898, the building originally served as a boarding house during Columbia’s bustling railroad era, welcoming railroad workers and travelers from across the region. Local legend says the hotel earned its name because owner Mamie Klaus rose with the sun each morning to prepare breakfast and send the railroaders off to work. Today, we are honored to continue that welcoming tradition by making Rising Sun a place where people gather, connect, and start their day.
