Old Fashioned Christmas Celebration
Columbia will host its Old-Fashioned Christmas celebration starting at 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 30. Santa will arrive by firetruck and will visit Hinkle’s Restaurant for photos from 9-11 a.m. The tree lighting will be at Locust Street Park, 550 Locust St., Columbia, at 6 p.m. The lighting serves as a memorial for Columbia residents who have died in the past year. Throughout the day, there will also be cookie decorating at the Columbia Market House, free hot chocolate, a Mrs. Claus story time at Columbia Public Library and more.
8:30 – 9 am Santa’s Fire Truck Parade to Hinkle’s
9 – 11 am Pictures with Santa at Hinkle’s
9-5 pm Small Business Saturday at participating merchants
10-3 pm Christmas Cookie Decorating, Pictures with the Grinch, and Santa’s Workshop at the Columbia Market House
3-4:30 pm Santa’s Nap Time Break
4-5 pm Mrs. Claus’ Story Time at the Library
5:15 pm St. Peter’s Catholic Church Sr. & Jr. Choir
5:45 pm Mrs. Claus will read “Twas the Night Before Christmas” at the Christmas tree
6 pm Choir Tree Lighting begins in the Locust St.

Two lucky individuals will win $250 just by visiting local Columbia stores.
Pick up a punch card at one of the stores listed on the right. Then, visit six of the participating retail shops on the card. Have each shop punch and initial the card. Must be present for punch. Must be 16-years old or older to win.When all six gifts are filled, simply drop the card in the ballot box at the last shop you visit.
