Rebecca Zieff to Speak at the Military Oral History Club of Lancaster County
The MOHCLC will be hosting Grandchild of Holocaust survivor, Esther Cane (a Holocaust survivor born in Poland in 1925): Rebecca Zieff. Rebecca will share Esther’s story with us: how Esther’s life was forever altered when her Polish town was invaded in 1939. She endured unimaginable hardships and horrors, surviving numerous concentration camps (Bedzin, Majdanek, Auschwitz, Bergen Belsen, and Theresienstadt). We will hear accounts of Esther’s resilience, loss, and survival. By sharing her grandmother’s experiences, Rebecca hopes to honor her memory and uphold the promise of Never Again!
The Military Oral History Club of Lancaster County meets at the VFW Post 2435 (401 Manor Street, Columbia PA 17512) on the last Tuesday of the month. All Veterans, students, and anyone with an interest in military history are invited to attend. Veteran of any war, a family member, or friend who would like to share their experiences at any one of our meetings, we would like to hear from you!
