DESCRIPTION:This Naloxone (narcan) distribution event is part of Save-A-Life ( https://soarwv.org/ ), a multi-state Naloxone Distribution event. Narcan is used when someone is experiencing a life threatening opioid overdose.  Over the past 10 years in Lancaster County 1,007 people have died from an opioid overdose. Many more individuals have experienced non fatal opioid overdoses.\nNarcan can help reverse the effects of an opiate and potentially save a life. All Narcan distributed at this event will be distributed free of charge with no questions asked.  Information will be available to help you learn how to identify an overdose, how to administer Narcan, and steps after administration. There will also be information on recovery supports available within the local community.\nWe will be at the Columbia Dream Center between 10:30am to 1:30pm AND 5:00pm- 6:30pm.\nFor information on other locations throughout Lancaster County please see the location listing ( https://discovercolumbia.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/location-listing.pdf )\n
